Instruction will include: YMCA Lifeguard v6, ASHI CPR for the Professional Rescuer, ASHI Basic First Aid, and ASHI Emergency Oxygen Administration. Successful completion of all requirements will earn the class participant these certifications, each valid for two years, except CPR, which is valid for one year. Allowing any safety certification to lapse will invalidate the YMCA Lifeguard v6 certification.
The Richard G. Snyder YMCA is seeking responsible adult lifeguards to work 3-4 days a week. Daylight shifts available from 5am – 3pm with the opportunity for evening hours. We are offering a FREE lifeguard class to those of you who are 18 years or older that want to be a lifeguard at the Richard G. Snyder YMCA for at least 6 months or longer.
